Level 5 Tour Pro Course
The Level 5 Tour Pro Course is an elite coaching program designed for coaches working with professional players on the international circuit. Building on the expertise developed in Level 4, this course focuses on the highest-level technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of tennis coaching. Participants will gain advanced strategies and practical tools to maximize player performance, manage the demands of the professional tour, and deliver world-class coaching to players competing at the top of the sport.
Course Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the Level 5 Tour Pro Course, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Certification
- Hold a Level 4 Tennis Performance Coaches qualification or an equivalent internationally recognized high-performance coaching certification.
- Hold a Level 4 Tennis Performance Coaches qualification or an equivalent internationally recognized high-performance coaching certification.
- Coaching Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience coaching competitive players, preferably at national or international level.
- Demonstrated experience working with players on professional or high-performance pathways.

- Practical Competence
- Proven ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate advanced coaching sessions.
- Experience in technical, tactical, physical, and mental coaching for elite players.

- Professional Conduct
- Adherence to recognised safeguarding, ethical, and professional standards.
- Membership in a national or international coaching association is desirable.

- Recommendation
- A reference or endorsement from a Lead Coach, National Federation, or Tennis Academy confirming suitability for elite-level coaching.

- In-depth analysis of tennis strokes and techniques, including spin variations, shot placement, and advanced shot selection.
- Advanced teaching progressions, drills, and exercises for refining technical skills and developing a versatile repertoire of shots.

- Understanding advanced court positioning, movement patterns, and offensive/defensive strategies to gain a competitive advantage.
- Advanced strength and conditioning principles tailored for tennis players, including periodization, plyometrics, and sport-specific training.

- Advanced match analysis tools and techniques for evaluating player performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Performance Professional Certification and Assessment

Upon successful completion of the Level 5 Tour Pro Course, participants will undergo rigorous assessment to evaluate their coaching proficiency and ability to apply advanced coaching principles in real-world scenarios. Certification will be awarded to coaches who demonstrate mastery of course content and performance coaching competencies.
Successful candidates will receive the grade of Tour Professional. Certification is issued by Tennis International and the International Coaches Association, and endorsed by the International Professional Tennis Association and MTMCA. |
